In keeping with the holiday spirit, Steel Wool Studios just shared some exciting news for horror fans: Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted is making its way to Oculus Quest. “We can’t announce the launch date as there is lots of work to do,” explains Co-Founder Andrew Dayton, “but we can’t wait to share the game with the Oculus Quest community!”
While there’s no date to share just yet, we did get Dayton to tell us his favorite part of the game: watching other players. “My desk is right next to the testing area where our QA team and guests come to try out the game,” he says. “I love hearing people screaming then laughing. I can always tell if we’re heading down the right road with our levels if we have that right mix of frights and fun. My favorite levels in the game are the elevator levels. We created such a tense and stressful experience that it really demonstrates how Five Nights at Freddy’s works so well in VR.”
And although we can’t get into specifics, we can share that Steel Wool Studios plans to continue its work in the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe, so fans of the franchise have more to look forward to on the horizon. “It has been such a great franchise to work with, and its creator Scott Cawthon and his fans have been really amazing during this process,” Dayton notes. “I think there are so many possibilities to explore in Scott’s universe, and we love the opportunity to keep being part of it.”
Prepare for some jump scares with Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted, coming soon to Oculus Quest.
