This is the fifth Emmy for a VR project that Oculus has supported, and we’re thrilled to see VR continuing to break through in the entertainment world, captivating audiences and Emmy voters alike. We have long believed in the team at Fable Studio to create a fantastic project, and we’ve been delighted to support Wolves in the Walls since it first debuted at the Sundance Film Festival last year.
Based on the award-winning children’s book written by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Dave McKean, Wolves in the Walls blends an AI-powered protagonist and choreography from immersive theater company Third Rail Projects to create a uniquely compelling and emotionally engaging experience unlike what’s come before it in VR. Eight-year-old Lucy isn’t just a passive character in the story. She remembers your interactions and uses them to inform your future play sessions—at least until it’s all over ...
Previous Emmy wins for VR projects we’ve supported include Henry, Follow My Lead, The People’s House, and Zero Days VR. We’re honored to welcome Wolves in the Walls to that list, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
