This month’s Rift Core 2.0 beta update brings a host of new objects and ways to customize your home. If you haven’t joined the beta yet, it’s now easier than ever. Just navigate to the “Beta” tab in your Settings menu, and click to turn “Rift Core 2.0 Beta” on.
Now, let’s take a look at this month’s highlights.
Creating Multiple Homes
We’re impressed by the homes people have built and shared thus far, and we want to help you express your creativity. That’s why we added the ability to create and customize multiple homes. Now you can design to your heart’s content, change which Home is your default, and adjust the privacy settings for each—so feel free to mix things up, whenever the mood strikes.
A Change of Scenery
We’ve added new treatments and options to surroundings, ceilings, walls, and floors. You can perch your Home against a futuristic city skyline, or select an expansive mountain range as your backdrop. Add some polish with a metal ceiling, marble walls, or new black marble flooring. There’s much more to explore in the Home design library, so check it out.
Unlock New Rewards
We’ve also added new items you can unlock by spending time in Rift: alien technology, a specimen tank, and a warrior goddess statue. As an added plus, we’ve updated the putter so that it now extends to fit your height (improved handicap not included).
Use Your Voice
We’re always on the lookout for ways to build upon the Rift Core 2.0 experience and add some extra polish. Join the Rift Core 2.0 community on UserVoice to suggest new features and improvements—and stay tuned for more developments in 2018.
We’ll see you in Rift.
