We’re just two weeks away from GDC 2018, and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on with the developer community.

This year, we’ll hit the expo floor at booth #401 (South Hall), hosting never-before-seen demos. We’re also introducing a brand-new learning theater open to all, featuring Oculus engineers and developers delivering insights, best practices, and practical advice for VR development. We’ll have more details to share next week. Today, we’re excited to highlight two powerhouse sessions featured in GDC’s main programming:

Inside Oculus 2018
March 21, 9:30 am PT
VR is about to take another leap forward in 2018, and Oculus continues to break new ground bringing cutting-edge hardware, software, and content to people around the world. Join Oculus VP on Content Jason Rubin, Director of Engineering Ross O’Dwyer, Head of Development Engineering Chris Pruett, and Studios Producer Ruth Bram for an inside look at what’s coming across the Oculus ecosystem, from Rift, mobile, and our new standalone devices to the advancements, services, and tools helping developers define the next wave of immersive gaming.

Embodying Identity Through Immersive Design
March 22, 11:30 am PT
VR has introduced an entirely new design paradigm where players don’t just connect with protagonists, they embody them. In turn, game designers now have a vastly expressive sandbox where sound, environments, and characters are defined by their own boundless creativity. VR’s physicality demands diverse perspectives to ensure immersive worlds resonate with the unique individuals experiencing them. Oculus Studios Producer Ruth Bram will join Harmonix Product Manager Jessa Brezinski, Sanzaru Senior Development Director Jenny Huang, and Turtle Rock Studios Producer Chloe Skew to discuss best practices, common pitfalls, and the key principles to winning immersive design—the next frontier for game creation.

Stay tuned to the blog next week for more details on our GDC lineup, and follow our Oculus Developer channels on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates.

We’ll see you at the Moscone Center!
