Innovative Physics-Based Combat Game ‘Blade & Sorcery: Nomad’ is Coming to Oculus Quest this November

Unshackle yourself from the chains of wired VR and sharpen your swords for the battles ahead! Blade & Sorcery: Nomad from Warpfrog, a brand-new, separate, standalone version of the hit PC VR sandbox combat game, releases for Oculus Quest 2 for $19.99 USD on November 4.

In Blade & Sorcery: Nomad, every item, object, and character has weight and presence within the game world as it’s a fully physics-driven combat sandbox. There’s no block or parry button—instead, you must precisely deflect enemy strikes using your own weapons in real time. With over 20 different weapons to choose from, including a variety of swords, daggers, axes, maces, and more, there’s no shortage of ways to unleash your fury on the unsuspecting combatants that dare face you.

In Sandbox mode, you’ve got every weapon, item, spell, and more to pick from as you see fit across four different arena maps. It’s the tried-and-true Blade & Sorcery experience that fans already know and love from the PC VR version of the game, adapted and optimized for room-scale standalone VR on the Quest Platform as its own separate game. You can customize how these fights play out by spawning the number of enemies you want to face or opting for a chaotic survival mode to really test your skill.

Additionally, in Dungeons mode, you get to make your way through a semi-procedurally generated dungeon with randomized rooms and droves of enemies. And to add even more replayability next year is the highly anticipated Progression-based mode that is expected to provide an ongoing, persistent character to build up over time rather than playing in a pure sandbox.
