Imagine you’re creating a rock-and-roll club on a faraway planet in Horizon Worlds. Obviously, you’ll need some rocket ships, a few guitars, a little restaurant serving yummy food, and a dart board to keep things interesting, among other things. In the past, you’d need to make all those items from scratch. But no more.
Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re rolling out an early version of our Horizon Worlds asset library so you don’t have to create everything from square one.
Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for creators to build amazing worlds, and we’ve heard from the Horizon Worlds community that the tool you want the most is a collection of pre-made items you can use anytime you want.
So, whether you’re an experienced creator or building for the first time, you’ll love how simple it is to drag and drop items from the library into your worlds, as well as customize them for your own purposes. You can also play with them, see how they’re built, and use them to make even better items.
To start, the library will feature more than 100 assets created by our Horizon Worlds team plus many others made by the creator community. If you want to make a basketball court so you can play HORSE with your friends, we’ve got you covered. But this is only the beginning—we’ll be adding even more items to the collection regularly.
And because this is truly a community effort, we’d love to hear what kind of items you’d like to see added next. You can share those ideas and upvote existing assets on UserVoice.
In the meantime, we can’t wait to see all the great worlds you’ll build with these assets, and we know we’ll have fun playing in them.
