The original convention by gamers and for gamers, PAX West kicks off August 31 in Seattle. Earlier this month, we shared a sneak peek at our first public demos for Stormland (along with a first look at demo gameplay footage), and today, we’re excited to share all of the ways you can connect with Oculus and get hands-on with great VR content during the show—and reveal our latest Pinny Arcade offering.
For one day only, members of the public can dive into an ambitious, expansive VR title from Insomniac Games at this experiential pop-up before its 2019 release—no PAX badge required! Join us August 31 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm PT at 1927 3rd Avenue in Seattle to enjoy free locomotion and explore Stormland’s AAA open-world structure.
Click here for more information and to add the Facebook Event to your calendar. Limited-edition swag will be given out to attendees who demo the game, so be sure to get there early while supplies last!
Can’t make it to the pop-up event? Visit us in the Facebook Gaming Booth #803 during regular expo hours August 31 through September 3 to check out what Polygon called “a promising reveal of a very interesting game.”
Not attending PAX West this year? Keep an eye on fb.gg, where gaming creators JV2017Gameplay and X-Bit Gaming will stream their own experiences. If you were hungry for more gameplay footage after our initial teaser, now’s your chance to satisfy that appetite!
Whether you want to practice your sculpting skills and get in some parkour or take out waves of rogue robots, we’ve got you covered. Demo several Rift community favorites and hot new titles in the VR Freeplay area:
As usual, there are a number of VR tournaments to put your skill to the test, plus a few can’t-miss panels featuring some of our developer partners. Check out some schedule highlights:
We can’t wait to share Stormland with VR gamers, both at the pop-up event that’s open to the public and at the Facebook Gaming Booth #803 in PAX West proper! If you’re at the show, be sure to visit Oculus devs Ubisoft in Booth #605, Square Enix in Booth #2129 and #2141, and Coatsink in the Indie Megabooth, #649.
