The wait is over—Rock Band™ VR launches today on the Oculus Store! With 60 tracks, a story-driven campaign mode, leaderboards, and more, RBVR lets you rise from the ranks of garage band to rock ’n’ roll superstar.
Included tracks span your favorite genres from ’80s pop and Seattle grunge to arena rock and beyond. Here’s a sneak peek at some of our favorites:
You can also expect DLC updates to keep things interesting, starting with six Aerosmith hits.
Rock Band, Redefined
If classic Rock Band was all about mastering twitch mechanics to reproduce a recorded hit, RBVR taps into the exhilaration of performing live onstage. Both creativity and timing are key as you combine chords to craft perfect guitar solos.
“Rock Band VR pushes the Rock Band experience in a powerful new direction,” explains Creative Lead Greg LoPiccolo. “Unlike traditional Rock Band, it creates a vivid, detailed experience of actually being onstage in front of a crowd of screaming fans. It feels just like playing live—the guitar is totally responsive to everything you do.”
Designed specifically for VR, this latest addition to the Rock Band franchise works with Rift’s integrated audio to increase presence through spatialized sound that adjusts dynamically as you teleport around the stage.

Demos will be available at select Microsoft Store locations starting March 27, so you can get in some stage time before officially joining the band.
