At OC6 today, we gave you a first look at the latest and greatest games coming to Oculus Quest and the Rift Platform. From titles that break ground with never-before-seen narratives in VR, to games set in breathtaking open worlds, to brand-new updates to titles that have earned a cult following within the community, Quest and the Rift Platform continue to push VR gaming onward and upward.

Here’s a rundown of today’s content-related announcements:

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond

Two years ago at OC4, we announced a landmark partnership between Oculus Studios and Respawn Entertainment, the creators of hit games like Titanfall™, Apex Legends™, and the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order™. Since then, the team at Respawn has been working tirelessly to maximize the creative potential of VR and build something incredible—a game that takes us into the future of VR gaming and plays to the strengths of where some of Respawn’s acclaimed developers first started in game development. Today, we’re thrilled to reveal Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond. In addition to both a full narrative campaign and multiplayer modes, Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond includes a unique story gallery, letting you sit with WWII veterans and survivors to hear their stories while witnessing first-hand the events and locations that have shaped our history. Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series - Episode II

ILMxLAB took the stage at OC5 to announce Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series - Episode I, an Emmy-nominated adventure that dropped players into the Star Wars universe. And today at OC6, they joined us again to announce that Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series - Episode II is launching today on Oculus Quest and the Rift Platform. In Episode II, players return to Mustafar to learn the ways of the Force—including new powers and lightsaber skills—from the legendary Sith Lord himself. Click here to learn more.

They also unveiled a new music pack from Panic! At The Disco featuring “The Greatest Show” and more! Clear your play spaces and start stretching—Beat Saber is about to turn your world around.

Echo VR on Oculus Quest

Previously available on the Rift Platform, this wildly popular title that spawned competitive leagues and fierce friendships launches later this year on Oculus Quest! Team up with more people with cross-play support on the Rift Platform. There are more ways to play with added AI support, so you can play full matches with friends or solo to work on your skills. New Comfort and Safety Tools feature additional options like Ghosting, which can be done individually or to an entire lobby. Ghosted players will have their audio muted and appear as gray CubeSats that disappear when they get too close. Improved player onboarding gives people better control over their environment and who they interact with for a better social experience than ever before.
Launching later this year on Oculus Quest.

Even More Games on the Horizon

Gamers have a ton to look forward, with more than 100 titles slated to launch by end of this year and more coming in 2020. Today we teased a few, like The Room VR: A Dark Matter, the fifth entry in the mysterious puzzler series, launching next year on Quest, and Last Labyrinth, an escape-the-room adventure tale that can only be experienced in VR—coming soon to both Quest and the Rift Platform.

And there’s Pistol Whip, a cinematic bullet hell from Cloudhead Games. With explosive action sequences, an EDM soundtrack featuring artists from Kannibalen Records, and a no-holds-barred attitude, this is one rhythm game that’s breaking the mold—and it’s coming to Quest and the Rift Platform November 7.

From AAA games and Hollywood franchises to breakout indie hits, there’s something for everyone on the Oculus Platform. And with the new additions coming to the Rift Platform and Oculus Quest content lineups, there’s never been a better time to jump in and play.

We’ll see you on the leaderboards.
