Events like GDC bring the community and industry together to celebrate a shared passion for gaming. This year, we’re doing things differently to ensure the health and safety of the community while still coming together to share the latest gaming buzz from industry leaders and developers. And while we’re going to miss seeing you in person, we couldn’t be more excited to keep the GDC tradition going and share what’s coming up over the next few weeks.

Catch the latest gaming news and announcements from Oculus during our digital Facebook: Game Developers Showcase. Beginning March 16 and running through March 19, VR enthusiasts and developers can tune in to see breaking updates and trailers from anticipated games coming to Oculus Quest and the Rift Platform, as well as hear special announcements straight from the developer community. We’ll pass it over to Facebook Gaming on March 24.

There’s so much to share, from game updates to first details on new experiences. We’ll see what’s coming next for popular titles like Pistol Whip from the team at Cloudhead Games and Beat Saber from the folks at Beat Games. We’ll also get fresh takes on original titles coming to Quest, like The Room VR: A Dark Matter from Fireproof Games, Lies Beneath from Drifter Entertainment, and Phantom: Covert Ops from nDreams.

On March 19, viewers can also access three video workshops designed to explore new and upcoming tools, as well as insider techniques and tips to help developers build world-class experiences on Quest and the Rift Platform:

  • VR Business Best Practices
  • The Future of Playing Together and Where Multiplayer Is Going in VR
  • Best Practices For Launching Games on Oculus

In the months since the launch of Quest and Rift S, we’ve seen the VR community continue to grow and mature, and we’re thrilled to be a part of that journey. We’re a few short months away from the 1-year anniversary of both Quest and Rift S, and there’s plenty to celebrate thanks to blockbuster game releases and improved software features, with much more to come. Facebook is heavily invested in building the future of VR with our developers and the rapidly growing VR gaming audience. We’re excited to build that future with all of you!

Tune into the blog on March 16 when the Facebook: Game Developers Showcase kicks off!
