When The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners from Skydance Interactive in partnership with Skybound Entertainment launched last year, UploadVR called it "the best zombie game in VR to date." And it’s slated to get even better today with the release of its big, new, and free Aftershocks Update.

For intrepid zombie slayers eager to return to the barren wastelands of apocalyptic New Orleans (or visit for the first time), there’s a new adventure waiting in Aftershocks. This free DLC packs eight brand new story-driven missions to complete that take place separately from the main story. At first it’s available only to those who have finished the campaign, but will become available to all players shortly after release.

Designed to really put your headshot skills to the test, Aftershocks is an intense rush to be the first to retrieve a newly discovered cache of supplies washing up around New Orleans. In addition to brand new story missions, survivors will also be able to get their hands on some new tools and find a variety of new collectibles to further decorate their bus quarters.

If you haven’t played this breakout survival horror masterpiece, there’s never been a better time to dive in. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners drops players into an original new story in The Walking Dead universe, set in the unforgiving and zombie-infested remains of New Orleans. Players will embark on a gruesome adventure as they fight for survival against not just walkers, but the constant threats of violence from factions of humans struggling to survive. The story is packed with gut-wrenching choices along the journey that will determine the future for everyone left alive in NOLA.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is available now on Oculus Quest and Rift Platforms for $39.99 USD with the Meatgrinder and new Aftershocks Update both available for free to further expand the game.
