Procurement Operations Lead, Oculus, Redmond

Oculus is seeking a Procurement Lead to support our teams and help us build the best virtual reality platform in the world. This position will focus on our Research organization and is located in Redmond, WA. This role will be responsible for coordinating contract creation, executing all purchase requests, monitoring purchase requisition and purchase order creation, monitoring budget and ensuring employees have adequate support for purchasing processes. Specific project work and source-to-pay activities may vary, including requisition entry, sourcing, contracting, negotiating, tracking purchase orders and payment/invoices for various commodities.


  • Process purchase requisitions, ensure timely issuance of purchase orders and track delivery schedules
  • Provide training to employees on procurement process and tools
  • Perform root cause analysis on Procurement and AP Issues
  • Negotiate, manage, coordinate, and support sourcing projects, including managing competitive bids, RFx, obtaining quotes, examining proposals, analyzing bids, etc.
  • Manage contingent worker onboarding process with project team, strategic sourcing and on-site contingent contractor provider
  • Responsible for managing the supplier onboarding process
  • Coordinate & prepare sourcing documents, contracts, statements of work and related procurement documents following guidelines
  • Ensure all contracts are executed and published
  • Analyze spend and other data, monitor purchasing activity, manage benchmarking and reporting
  • Interface with the Procurement Operations team for resolving procurement issues and implementing best practices
  • Interface with Accounts Payable for resolving invoicing issues
  • Support special projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contracting
  • Bachelors’ degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance or management
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Process improvement experience
  • Customer service oriented and ability to work issues to resolution
  • Ability to build relationships with outside vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels, develop cooperative working partnerships and contribute to teams
  • Able to prioritize and use available tools to be highly productive and manage high volumes
  • Highly motivated and able to think under pressure
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word skills and PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity
  • Experience in Oracle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering prototype and development parts experience
