We’re seeking a dynamic recruiter who brings a balance of creativity, focus and determination to the team. As a Technical Recruiter, you’ll recruit world-class groups of people capable of bringing virtual reality to life. We’re passionate about delivering an awesome candidate experience at each stage of the conversation by lending genuine insight into the culture, mission and challenges. Your work will have a direct impact on the team, culture, and identity of Oculus.


  • Work closely with hiring managers and recruiters to deeply understand technical requirements of the role, the function and how it fits into the organization.
  • Find, engage and activate passive candidates through the use of advanced boolean, online resources like Linkedin, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, Stackoverflow, GitHub, custom x-ray searches and other alternative search techniques.
  • Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events and sourcing campaigns.
  • Screen resumes and interview candidates to determine fit.
  • Team with coordinators and recruiters to build and manage an efficient model of operation.
  • Regularly track pipeline activity to share with internal stakeholders.
  • Recommend and drive improvements that impact local pipeline areas and operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years hardware and software sourcing experience with a search firm or an in-house recruiting team.
  • Experience working with and building sourcing strategies with hiring managers for NPD, R&D and niche technical roles.
  • Advanced research/sourcing skills with ability to dive into searches for requisitions.
  • Candidate engagement approach with ability to activate candidates.
  • Ability to screen resumes to identify fit and interview candidates.
  • Technical and industry knowledge with ability to understand relevant technical skills, target companies and universities, conferences, open source communities and other networks.
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and partner effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in R&D, consumer electronics, hardware or the gaming industry.
