We are looking for candidates who share our passion for tackling complexity head-on, to help cross discipline teams working on the future of VR. As a Technical Program Manager at Oculus, you will play a key role in setting the team up for success through thoughtful planning and careful tracking of progress against the project deliverables you help set.

Each team member brings something unique to the table, and we are looking for candidates who bring a passion for organization and production process to help our teams to ship world-class VR software. Relevant experience is important, but ultimately less so than your demonstrated abilities and attitude. This is a full-time position based in our office in Menlo Park and will report to the Executive Producer.


  • Work with the Executive Producer to develop and manage end-to-end production plans and ensure on-time delivery of milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage, maintain, and map dependencies for development tasks in the project backlog.
  • Track development metrics to communicate progress against development goals.
  • Work closely with the project leads on sprint planning and tracking.
  • Facilitate communication among the team members and with external stakeholders to insure everyone is clear on their deliverables and deadlines.
  • Provide day-to-day coordination of tasks and their dependencies across the team and with external teams.
  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
  • Proactively identify project risks and raise them to the leads team.
  • Interface with Engineering and Design for project requirements and scope.
  • Work with the Product Manager to help drive product decisions to align with higher company initiative

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of game or software development experience in a production role.
  • Experience with agile software development on projects from concept to launch.
  • Experience working with cross-discipline teams such as engineers, artists, and designers.
  • Understanding of modern 3D content production workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with 3D game engines (ex. Unreal, Unity, native)
  • Experience with game programming processes and methodologies.
  • Experience with professional 3D art production packages (ex. Maya, 3DS Max, Houdini, Moto).
  • Experience with project management software (ex. Jira, Hansoft or MS Project).
