Semiconductor Process Integration Engineer

Oculus Research (Facebook Inc.) has an exciting opportunity within its Research Group at Cork for a Semiconductor Process Integration Engineer. This role involves undertaking and managing internal and external process development and the fabrication and characterization of device prototypes, in addition to supporting the activities relating to design and optimization. It is particularly suited to an individual who wishes to further develop their career in a vibrant, multidisciplinary and fast-moving research environment.

Responsibilities

  • Fabrication of semiconductor-based devices in a clean room environment.
  • Process development & optimization, process troubleshooting.
  • Delivery of devices for the needs of internal and external projects.
  • Documentation and control responsibility for all processes and procedures related to the position.
  • Designing and coordinating experiments, analysing data, and reporting the key results.
  • Promote and support innovation to facilitate IP generation as appropriate.
  • Interface with suppliers and partners, from a technical and project management perspective.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or a higher degree in Micro-electronics, Physics or Material Science.
  • 6+ years’ experience in III-V semiconductor (GaN/GaAs) processing.
  • Experience in more than one of the wafer processing areas: lithography, etch, deposition, metrology
  • in process as well as in device integration.
  • Expertise in micro and nano-fabrication of optoelectronic devices such as red, green, and blue LEDs and lasers.
  • Strong background in process development, process control, and process scale-up.
  • Strong background in semiconductor device physics & materials science.
  • Broad understanding in material & device characterization.
