Our Core Tech team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future Oculus products. From mixed reality and human interaction to natural inputs and beyond, Core Tech is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.

As a SoC Architect, within our Computer Vision Team (Core Tech) you will work in a small and very dynamic team across multiple technologies and disciplines such as algorithms, software, and hardware to deliver outstanding products. You will have the autonomy to make priority decisions requiring creative problem solving and communicating your architectural vision across multiple teams.


  • Lead development of technical system specifications for System-On-Chip (SoC), including the definition of processors, memory, computational engines, fabric, and interfaces critical to the success of upcoming products.
  • Evaluate data flows, bandwidth, memories, for operating modes and use cases.
  • Liaise with cross-functional engineering teams in and outside the company across multiple disciplines to deliver these critical technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
  • 7+ years’ experience in architecting SoCs with multiple processors, CPUs, DSPs, interfaces, and full chip implementation.
  • 5+ years’ specializing in architecting SoCs in areas of video and image processing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in leading engineering teams
