Visual Production Designer

As a Visual Production Designer, you will be involved in user interface design working with various cross-disciplinary team members to deliver pioneering products. You will be expected to use your full range of visual design and production skills as well as mastery of digital visual design tools to ensure the highest visual quality of our user experiences in VR and non-VR products.

This position is full-time and based in Menlo Park.


  • Work with Visual Design Leads and Design Producers to create and maintain Oculus collection of visual assets for production across application and range of hardware
  • Apply Oculus product design language to a system of visual assets for specific output and application criteria across platforms
  • Identify opportunities to improve on visual assets pipeline for Oculus

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in shipping software experiences as part of a production environment
  • Experience applying Oculus visual language, aesthetic and brand scaling
  • Experience in visual asset production and retouching
  • Experience with batch processing and cutting assets for production, creating and optimizing a pipeline of asset production
  • Communication experience
  • Experience maintaining asset organization according to production specifications
  • Experience fixing technical and processing related issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Visual design experience
  • Experience with 3D tools and VR
  • Understanding of typography and layout
  • Experience with real time engines
