The VR Platform team is part of the AR/VR organization at Facebook, responsible for developing hardware products and the software platforms that run on them — and defining the roadmap for the organization.
We are looking for an Engineering Director to drive our Content Discovery and Distribution team. The focus of this team is matching users with content, and giving them reasons to come back to the headset time after time. Products this team is responsible for include the Oculus Store, our Feed product, our mobile and desktop apps, and content ranking systems. The role involves acting as the engineering lead for our LA office, managing multiple engineering managers, and building out a team which is able to scale as Oculus devices grow.
As an Engineering Director at Oculus you will lead, manage, and inspire engineering teams developing a next-generation platform for virtual reality. You’ll help the team fulfill technical, operational, and business requirements by putting yourself in the trenches. You’ll guide architecture and delivery of software products. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering consumer software products focused on incredible customer experiences.
