Director, AR/VR Distribution Partnerships

Facebook's AR/VR organization brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products connecting people and communities and help advance Facebook's mission of bringing the world closer together. We are seeking a Director of AR/VR Distribution Partnerships who will lead a team of business development professionals across Facebook's AR/VR efforts including Oculus, Portal and the AR Camera platform. This individual will have successfully led complex, first-of-kind deals for successful platforms. She/he will have a deep familiarity with Portal and AR/VR products from technology and market perspectives and will have strong experience setting product direction. Additionally, she/he will have experience building multi-level partnership organizations and leading a rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will also have experience mentoring and developing a strong team, be a self-starter who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment and takes a proactive and strategic approach to business development.

Responsibilities

  • Distribution partnerships in support of Facebook's AR/VR portfolio (including VR, AR, Portal, and future AR/VR product lines), namely: OEMs across CE categories including mobile Mobile and Fixed Telcos
  • Built and led teams of 10+ BD and/or deal-making professionals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Mobile OEM and ODM ecosystems, with track record of strategic technology and platform licensing deals with OEMs
  • Proven expertise in Telco ecosystems, with track record of building successful regional and global partnerships across the entire stack of hardware and value-added services
  • Global executive experience, having lived and worked in at least two continents and led global teams across US, Europe and Asia
  • Extremely hands-on structuring, negotiation and execution experience complex strategic deal constructs at C-level and with $100M+ impact
  • Direct experience working cross-functionally with large product management, engineering, sales, and marketing teams, from individual contributors to executives
  • Tech-savvy and product curious
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dual degrees not mandatory but preferred (Eng.+MBA, or Eng.+JD)
