Research Intern, Audio Technology (PhD)

Research | Menlo Park, CA

Facebook Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) division brings together a world-class team of researchers, designers and engineers to create the future of virtual and augmented reality. We are designing and implementing the technologies needed to enable audio experience breakthroughs for AR glasses, VR headsets (Oculus) and Home Devices (Portal). We are seeking a “Audio and Voice Machine Learning” technology intern who is pursuing PhD degree with an academic or practical background in machine learning, audio and voice signal processing. Ideally, the candidate should have good experience in audio and voice technologies (e.g., beamforming (BF), acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), noise suppression (NS), or music/voice separation (MVS), etc.) and machine learning (e.g., deep learning, natural language understanding, information retrieval, or knowledge extraction). The candidate should also have the strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Working with a world-class group of researchers, designers, and engineers during the internship, the successful candidate will develop new technology for the advanced intelligent audio and voice signal processing.
