Our XR Tech team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future AR/VR products. From mixed reality and human interaction to natural input and beyond, Core Tech is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.

We are seeking a Manager of Software Engineering with a strong background in Graphics Rendering and Video Processing to drive architecting novel rendering techniques for AR/VR and Mixed Reality headsets. You will also assist in driving a team of developers and researchers to ship the pipeline into products. You are expected to contribute to the solution of a range of technical challenges in the areas of Real-time Image Processing, 3D Graphics, Machine Learning, and Sensor Fusion.


  • Provide leadership in design and deployment of mobile graphics system for upcoming AR/VR product line including architecting core rendering components.
  • Drive customer experience, continually raising the bar on functionality, usability, and simplicity.
  • Champion engineering and operations, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement.
  • Establish a solid project framework and development processes.
  • Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to both the direct team members and cross-functional project peers.
  • Evaluate, architect and communicate system resources related to mobile 3D Graphics, image processing, machine learning and computer vision.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
  • Proven track record of building and supporting cross-functional teams.
  • Experience hiring and mentoring leaders across multiple disciplines and domains.
  • Experience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing leaders.
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make engineering and product decisions.
  • Experience communicating insights and ideas across organization.
  • 7+ years of work experience architecting, developing, and launching software products.
  • Architectural experience with mobile CPU/GPU programming.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing or modifying camera pipeline on mobile platform.
  • Experienced in display technologies.
  • Experience in 3D graphics and display pipeline architecture and Vulkan.
  • Experience working on VR, AR and/or MR.
  • Experience with human vision science.
  • Experience with OS internals and kernel development/debugging for Android and/or Linux.
