MIYAVI Virtual Live 6.0 in Kiyomizu

MIYAVI presents 'MIYAVI Virtual Live 6.0 in 京都・清水寺 "MIYAVI in KIYOMIZU"', the next expansion of MIYAVI Virtual concert series from Kyoto, Japan, to the world. This makes MIYAVI the first rock musician to ever perform at Kiyomizu Temple, a 1200 year old temple listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Kiyomizu-dera temple, located on Mt. Otowa, is one of the few buddhism temples that places its Juichimen Senju Kannon Bosatsu (lit. “the eleven-faced thousand-armed Kannon”) as its principal deity that is said to bring all-embracing salvation. The temple has been offering prayer since its foundation 1200 years ago.

Amid the pandemic, MIYAVI sings and prays through his music, wishing for world peace and the end of the outbreak.

世界遺産でもある「音羽山・清水寺」は、どんな人も取り残さず救済しようとする「十一面千手観世音菩薩」を本尊にしている数少ない寺院の⼀つであり、平安時代から天下の平和を祈り続けています。

「清水の大舞台で、平和を叫ぶ」京都・清水寺の大舞台から、感染症の拡大で不安定となっている世の中の平和と感染症の早期収束の願いを込めて、演奏を奉納させていただきます。
