Samsung Beat the Street
This application was made by Cheil Amsterdam and WeMakeVR for Samsung Netherlands. It utilizes innovative moving 360-degree cinematic VR-shots, complex user-interaction, educational value, spatial/positional sound to educate the users. The key usergroup consists of children in the first class of high school. In the Netherlands, children cycle to school and often have to navigate in tricky and potentially dangerous traffic-situation. The Beat the Street VR-game aims to teach children how to act safely in these situations. The scenarios presented to the user have been validated by the Dutch Traffic Safety Association (Veilig Verkeer Nederland). This application is the first of its kind, Samsung aims to pave the way for more practical and valuable VR-applications like this.
